WHO WE ARE:
119 Gallery promotes contemporary and new media art, innovative ideas and cutting-edge techniques with a rich and diverse program of exhibitions, performances and community-based arts services; and welcomes people of all ages, means, and backgrounds to explore and experience new, innovative art.
Founded in 1992, we were one of the first art galleries on the World Wide Web. Its exhibits have been featured in ARTnews, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Art New England, The Boston Globe, and Lowell Sun.
Located at 119 Chelmsford Street, Lowell, MA, we host exhibits, workshops, special events, ongoing series, and dozens of music, dance and video performances. Visitors and artists come from Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine to the north; and Boston, Providence, New York, Philadelphia, and Baltimore to the south.
We are two blocks from the commuter rail station, have on street parking, and are a short walk from Lowell’s vibrant downtown.
