Board Meeting Minutes

 

January 28, 2007 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

 

Members Present include; Felicia Sullivan, Chair, John Craig Freeman, Mary Ann Kearns, Heather Mc Quiston, Sam Smiley, Walter Wright and visitor Karen Psaledakis.

 

 

The meeting was convened at 12:10 am.

 

 

 

1) Welcome potential new Board members

Karen Psaledakis sat in on the meeting to assess the board activities to decide if it is a good match. The board introduced themselves and Karen introduced herself and told the group about her background and her interest in 119 Gallery. Falicia gave some background on the organization.

 

Sam will asked potential board member Sylvia Cowan to come to the February meeting.

 

 

2) Approval of Minutes

The Minutes from the December meeting was unanimously approved.

 

 

 

3) Staff Reports

Executive Director Report (Walter)

Please see Director's report dated 01/28/2007.

 

Curator Report (Mary Ann)

Mary Ann passed out copies of the Parker Foundation grant and reported on the current programming and plans for the upcoming year.

 

 

4) Financial Report

There was no financial report prepared for this month. Both Decembers and January's financial reports will be filed at next months meeting.

 

Heather was unanimously elected treasure of the board.

 

 

5) Committee Reports

Development Committee

The Development Committee did not meet since last months meeting.

The board asked Mary Ann to prepare a tally of total current members and to calculate a total value of the membership in order to prepare for the development discussion during next months meeting.

Karen Psaledakis agreed to join the board and the board welcomed her on board.

 

 

The next board meeting will take place at 119 Gallery February 18th 12:00 am. until 2:00 pm. Board members are asked to mark the third Sunday of every month for regularly scheduled meetings.
