Marketing Report

Projects Completed Since Dec 12:

·         Current Membership: After reviewing the database, we’ve determined that from what we can tell there are only 47 members who are up to date on their membership. We are looking into getting contact info for recently expired members so that we may send them an email reminder to pay their dues.

Projects in Progress:

• The Vagina Monologues: will be taking place March 7 & 8. We are currently looking for volunteers and actresses for the event. We are working with people from UTEC and MCC but would love suggestions about other places to look. Our first audition will be held tomorrow. The dates are coinciding with Lowell Women’s Week.

   

• Facebook stuff: Felicia has put together both a cause page and a call for entires on facebook. The cause page enables people to join and donate. So far we have 132 members and have raised $250. The call for entries is an art contest involving the “pieces of flair” app which can be used to design graphic buttons.

   

• 100 Sec Film Fest: Will be here on Jan 24. I’ve been coordinating marketing with Jason Daniels. The second bear market beat bonanza will immediately follow that evening.

   

• Chris Aguiar wants to do booking: He’s expressed a strong interest in taking over the booking for the gallery. He also wants to start a new 119 gallery myspace. There are also a few other people that need to be considered as well.

   

·         Focus groups: Mira has put together a list of people that will be contacted for focus groups to evaluate what types of events we need to be putting on to draw more people.

·         Strategic Marketing Plan: We will be focusing more on building more community partners.

·         National Endowment for the Arts: We will be looking into securing a grant to supplement our funds.
