Word of mouth

Saw it on the calendar and asked Walter to elaborate since the title really left me wondering what the evening was about. Am curious to know if folks unfamiliar with 119 came. I hope so.

What did you expect 119 Gallery to be like?

Art, music, nice people.

The same as it was last time I was here.

A wondrous place where you can be free.

Prison

All art(s)

Since the word “gallery was in it, I was hoping to find a lot of art and music.

Showcase of all artwork.

A chill place with lots of art.

An arty party.

Arty farty.

Having seen a number of shows that Mary Ann curated elsewhere, I expected more of the same caliber of shows.

Arty farty.

Uh … wonderful as it always is.

As rad as it is!

Just like it is.

The unexpected.

What kind of exhibits would you like to see more of?

More music related exhibits.

Street style art, poster art.

More concerts, more experimental films, poetry readings.

War, violence, live video, video feedage, media captured to the cranium, hip hop, urban media.

Art crafts.

A lot of local stuff, music, artwork, anything that would be cool.

Painting.

Music, art, lots more local stuff.

Music, photography, paintings, shows (fashion).

More workshops and music.

Interactive installations of any kind, installations that involve moving objects in the idea of what Andrew Neumann does.

Architecture photography.

Graphic art, sound experiments, comedy stuff, video.

Poetry in collage.

Multimedia installation art.

Street art, pop art, short films, abstract.

What kind of classes or workshops would you like to see offered? What day and time would be best?

I’m not from around here, I’m open to anything.

Let me get back to you.

Basic music theory, writing classes.

Viral video, night time.

Art classes, day best time.

Music classes and guitar classes would be great anytime after school.

Photo classes, evening would be great.

Music classes.

Sewing classes, afternoons during the week.

Writing or art workshops, in the afternoon.

More low-cost workshops involving improvised dance and music, on weekends.

Pottery, ceramics, sculpting, Friday in the early afternoon.

I’d love a lecture/talk series about what cutting-edge art is all about, the new technologies, how it evolved from an art-historical perspective.

Screen-printing, video editing, experimental music.

Writing and collage, web design, internet social networking for non-profits, make your own ‘zine

Spray paint, after school.
