Facilities Rental

119 Gallery can be rented for meetings, classes, performances, and private parties.

We prefer to book private parties on Friday nights and music and dance performances on Saturdays. Local bands play here once or twice a month; bands are booked by Dan Adam. Other events including classes, screenings, performances, and private parties are booked by Walter Wright. We have ongoing classes such as Jon Brandi’s Yoga Class that meets Tue evening and Sat morning. Our own classes in Online Community, Video and Sound Art meet Sat 11am- 4pm. The Gallery is subdivided into two spaces. The Cyber Café is approximately 300sqft. It can be used as a meeting room or classroom and accommodates 10-12 people comfortably. Free Wifi and a large flat panel video monitor are available. The Gallery is approximately 1200sqft. It can be configured for larger classes, performances, screenings, birthday parties and dancing. This larger space accommodates 50 people comfortably. We have tables, chairs, ‘house’ PA and video projector.

Rates:

Sun- Thu          $15/hr

                        $50/4hr block

                        $75/8hr block

Available Sun 10am-10pm, Mon-Thu 6pm-10pm

Fri- Sat            $25/hr

                        $100/6hr block (8pm-2am)

Available Sat 8am-12noon, Fri- Sat 6pm-2am

Booking Your Band:

Check our calendar for availability then go to 119 Gallery on MySpace and email Dan Adam our Music Director. Once confirmed, your booking appears on our calendar. Please check to be sure! Advertising your event is your responsibility. Please be aware that the space holds 50-60 people before things start getting tight. We respect your creativity; please respect the art in our gallery. Providing door persons and security are your responsibility. You can load in after gallery hours at 6pm. The gallery has carpet for the drum kit and a ‘house’ PA.

Booking Private Parties:

Check our calendar for availability then call Walter Wright at the gallery. When confirmed, your booking appears on our calendar. Make your party by invitation only and please limit it to no more than 50-60 people. You can begin setting up after the gallery closes around 6pm. We have tables, chairs, and a ‘house’ PA for the DJ. Please respect the art in the gallery and, if you have food, bring garbage bags and clean up after.  

Booking All Other Events:

Check our calendar for availability then call Walter Wright at the gallery. Check the calendar to confirm your booking. You are responsible for promoting and running your event. We can provide you with tables, chairs, a ‘house’ PA and video projector. We can work with your technical director to configure the space. We regularly host bands, multimedia performance and dance. ‘BIG MOVES!’ and ‘The Vagina Monologues’ were presented in our gallery.

Contract and Security Deposit:

We have a contract for you to sign. The contract protects both you and the gallery. We may ask for a security deposit to cover any unforeseen damage to the space. If everything is OK, we will return your security deposit within 10 days following the event.
