Turbine House:

Walter visited the Turbine House and was very impressed with the size.  He thinks the café will do well but the performance space is too big a venue to support the Lowell audience.  The only other stage of this size around here is The House of Blues which attracts national acts.

Staff:

We had our first staff meeting this month splitting the responsibility of door, maintenance and events. We have Mira working off site. Mike and Angie you guys rock! Had a volunteer doing community service from Lowell High School that was a big help. He help passed out fliers for “Can you hear me now?” and help Mary Ann with spray painting tin cans.

Programming:

As the new director I can’t believe all the things we do here, “The gallery that doesn’t quit.” In just one month we had everything from yoga, cooking, film, dance, local bands, new music, poetry and 2 art exhibits.

We are so happy to have the UMass Lowell students here at our gallery. It only took them 3 years to finally get here.

We are applying for another CTCVista person who will be helping us with development and grant writing. We got approve and is going to the process of interviewing right now.
