Events: The 2nd Annual Juried Show Reception drew 100 people. Although only a couple returned to see Mark, John and Anna’s show that evening, it was a strong show. I’m still puzzled by the lack of attendance at anything other than openings, lectures and special events. One would think that a juried exhibition of local artists would draw more people. I estimate about 4-6 people have come to see the show since it opened.

The most successful event, besides the reception, was the acoustic folk show. Andy Jackson was going to start booking more shows of this type here monthly but has opted out.

Our new music directors, Mark Henderson and Dan Adams are booking events. Ironically, OUtlET’s Surrender, which received substantial funding from the LCC is changing its focus and will not be running weekly. They will be booking local bands and are talking about adding more variety to their programming.

119 House approached the Revolving Museum for a night, hoping to attract more people to a downtown location and then bring them to the gallery. The Revolving Museum charges $250/hr 4hr minimum, which is $1000/night. They want us to apply for a grant to cover the costs. We’ll see.

Yes, I am charging $50-100 a night rental.

I spent most of time this month working on my Goddard portfolio. I missed this semester’s deadline but have an extension. I will graduate in February, 2007.

Jane Wiseheart, an intern from UML, helped me this past month. Heather helped out with data entry and Kitty Chick volunteered for the Juried Show Reception.

Workshops and Classes: Jon Brandi and Heather will start new classes in January.

My Postmodern Performance lecture and workshop series was a wash. No one came to lecture at the Revolving Museum. However I did receive several phone calls and will try again this Spring.

Financials: We need to appoint a new Treasurer. I can’t do it; neither can Mary Ann. We need to get to work fundraising.

911 EMA, Inc received $1,500 for The Animated Scroll and $1000 for Masters’ Classes. Heather McQuiston received $800 for Modern Dance, and OUtlET received $2500 for Surrender.
