1) Lowell Cultural Center

The larger group met at the Lowell Plan Office a couple of weeks ago. The powers-that-be lectured the artist on why they were not competent to manage a project of this scale.

 The LTC Board Chair indicated that he does not support community.

 Y suggested that we consider the idea of an Arts Center separate from the issue of real estate. Y & I are on a program planning subcommittee. We meet with LZ, Diane and a couple of other folks tomorrow. However it seems that, although they appear to be interested in the idea, the city is not committing to the idea of a Lowell Arts Center.

2) NEA Presenters Grant

I have downloaded the forms and started filling in administrivia. We need to talk a little about "the project". That is, how do we fit our events programming and workshops into their format. And, more important, how do we present a budget that includes a 1:1 match. I propose that we ask for $15,000 and match it in-kind with $15,000 for facilities rental, marketing, and administrative costs.

3) Grantmakers somethingorother database. We are members. Mary Ann will tell us how to access it & use it!

4) Local Grants

- LCC Grant for XFest 2010, $3000

- BCC Grant for video in the Eugene Vining Elementary School
